SUPPLY CHAIN & LOGISTICS
GREEN LOGISTICS
Our Approach
CO2e Reporting:
– Identify all elements of proposed logistics strategy for which sustainability assessment is required and provide CO2e estimates
– Ensure use of estimation processes that are recognised third party auditing bodies
– Recommend improvements to reduce CO2 emissions, eg: optimisation of freight network, use of sustainable transport lanes
Packaging:
– Ensure packaging plans maximise sustainability on a reduce/ re-use/ recycle basis
– Propose best in class methods and alternative approaches eg lease of multi-use plastic containers
Facility & equipment actions:
– Provide recommendations for actions at warehouses (eg solar panels, turbines, green energy tariffs etc)
– Use of zero-emission/ low emission material handling equipment
BENEFIT 1
Measuring Logistics CO₂ Impact for Reporting
Provide client with a clear understanding of overall CO2 impact of their proposed logistics operations and where the major impacts are. Data to be provided in a form that can be used for external reporting as required (eg Carbon Disclosure Project).
BENEFIT 2
Identifying Opportunities to Enhance Sustainability
Identify opportunities to improve sustainability of operations. Provide material that can be used in company communications, marketing etc.
