Meet The Expert | Zohaib Choudry

Zohaib Choudry, HSSMI’s Process Engineering Manager, has proven he can deliver across that entire spectrum.
Zohaib is a highly experienced Process Engineering Manager with nearly a decade of experience delivering end-to-end manufacturing solutions across the automotive and electronics sectors. He has a proven track record in industrialisation, process design, supplier engagement and production ramp-up, ensuring robust and scalable manufacturing systems.
Deep Expertise in Quality, Supplier Management and Project Delivery
Zohaib brings strong expertise in quality systems implementation and supplier performance management, with hands-on experience delivering PPAP, process validation and production readiness activities for high-profile OEM programmes.
Alongside his technical process engineering background, Zohaib is a capable project leader. His strengths span project mobilisation and setup — establishing project structures, governance, plans, roles and responsibilities — as well as project leadership and coordination across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring activities remain aligned throughout delivery. He’s skilled in stakeholder management, bringing different parties together and maintaining alignment on expectations, and in risk and issue management, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigations before they can impact delivery. Underpinning all of this is a strong focus on delivery management: maintaining momentum, tracking actions and deliverables, managing dependencies, and keeping projects on track.

Zohaib’s project experience shows remarkable range across the automotive industry:

- Aston Martin — Sports & Hypercar Production Line. Zohaib led full implementation of new production facilities, including process design, equipment specification and supplier onboarding, managing supplier selection, audits and capability assessments to ensure readiness for low-volume, high-complexity production. He oversaw the full manufacturing lifecycle from R&D through to production ramp-up.
- Aston Martin — Aston Martin Speedster. Zohaib led manufacturing development for a limited-build vehicle programme with high design and process complexity, defining and implementing assembly processes, tooling and quality assurance strategies, and establishing build sequencing to support efficient production.
- UK NSI — Automated Production Facility. Zohaib delivered technical leadership for a highly automated production facility, including robotics and advanced manufacturing systems, defining manufacturing processes and equipment efficiency improvements to maximise output, and playing a key role in CapEx planning, supplier coordination and production readiness.
- Jaguar Land Rover — Manufacturing Delivery. Zohaib managed manufacturing processes from prototype through to mainline production for powertrain and chassis components, delivering process documentation, PFMEA and quality control strategies aligned to OEM standards, and supporting supplier PPAP submissions and production sign-off activities.
- BMW Group MINI — Process Engineering. Zohaib led planning and implementation of new and modified processes for vehicle builds and mid-cycle refreshes, delivering equipment installation and process validation activities, implementing vision systems and automation to improve quality assurance, and managing facility upgrades including HVAC and gas systems.
