Working at HSSMI | Meet New Starter Wulston Alderman
/0 Comments/in Uncategorized /by Emily Laver
HSSMI is delighted to welcome Wulston to our Supply Chain and Logistics team as Technical Specialist. Prince 2 qualified and with an impressive track record in project management and delivery within logistics, Wulston brings a wealth of experience to our team. He has successfully delivered and sustained Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation projects within the automotive and battery sectors. With a 27-year background in automotive logistics, Wulston has worked with renowned OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, including the Rover Group, BMW Group (Rolls-Royce Motor Cars), and Jaguar Land Rover. We are excited to leverage his expertise and drive further success in our supply chain and logistics endeavors.
Why did you decide to join HSSMI?
WA: After more than 26 years in automotive logistics as well as exposure to other industries, I’m at a stage in my career where I want to broaden my exposure to industry sectors and adopt a more flexible working approach. Having worked with HSSMI in a previous role, I was impressed with the work that was delivered and the way that the organisation operated, not to mention the people. You could say that the timing and conditions were right to make the move now.
How has HSSMI and your team supported your development?
WA: The initial onboarding was very thorough, and I had the opportunity to meet many of the team very quickly. There are resources available to develop myself further. I’m also able to transfer my knowledge to other team members who are in the earlier stages of their careers. This some of the main things that motivates me.
What do you appreciate most about working at HSSMI?
WA: I appreciate the autonomy and the space to get involved in a broad range of projects that otherwise would be limited in a traditional organisation. The flexible approach to working, while keeping in mind delivering customer and business outcomes supports my personal circumstances.
What are your expectations from working at HSSMI?
WA: My expectations are to be able to make a positive contribution to the success of the business, while delivering outstanding results for our clients. This would be done by leveraging my existing Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge. I also want to learn new skills and knowledge around industry sectors I’m not fully familiar with.
How will working at HSSMI help your career?
WA: Not only will I be able to apply and showcase my current skill set, but also can work in new sectors and learn new skills. By working closely with our clients, I will be able to develop a broader professional network.
