Working at HSSMI | Meet New Starter Zohaib Choudry
HSSMI are delighted to have Zohaib Choudry join our Manufacturing Engineering team. Zohaib has a strong background within manufacturing, process development and continuous improvement. Having managed vehicle programmes from concept through to facility specification, he brings with him a variety of skills from major OEM’s such as JLR & Aston Martin, where he has lead and launched both high and low volume vehicle lines. Zohaib is looking forward to further supporting both manufacturing and sustainability worldwide.
Why did you decide to join HSSMI?
ZC: I decided to join HSSMI as I saw an opportunity for my passion in manufacturing to grow further with their diverse range of clientele. Coming from a predominantly automotive background, which involved me working in companies such as Aston Martin & JLR, I wanted to apply my skillset within manufacturing to endorse other industries as well as further my own knowledge with learning new and different manufacturing principles. HSSMI have a strong vision in promoting sustainability within their practises, this tied into my passion for manufacturing which I believe is a strong coupling in working towards a net zero strategy.
How has HSSMI and your team supported your development?
ZC: HSSMI have allowed me to pick up major projects with various businesses whom we have built long lasting relationships with. This has allowed me to step in as their Technical Lead. I have had the ability to be on the front-line of significant projects to help develop all things Manufacturing. HSSMI are great at promoting ownership and decision making, this alongside the backing of our leadership team enables me to reach my career goals.
What do you appreciate most about working at HSSMI?
ZC: The combination of a diverse skillset within the business alongside the mixture of industries we work with fills me with a great level of appreciation for a strong future with the company. Being involved with both established OEM’s to start-ups displays HSSMI’s passion with supporting new businesses as well as developing existing ones. From an internal cultural perspective HSSMI are keen in promoting a healthy work-life balance and engagement amongst colleagues split across our 3 sites within the UK further allows me to develop both my personal and professional aspirations.
What are your expectations from working at HSSMI?
ZC: I hope to expand my knowledge within manufacturing and further advance into supporting companies achieve their goals within sustainability. I’m keen to see the company continue developing and further support both manufacturing and sustainability worldwide.
How will working at HSSMI help your career?
ZC: Being exposed to a range of industries and projects will enable me to build on my technical knowledge and leadership skills. HSSMI’s involvement within achieving net zero will open new doors for me and allow me to advance my knowledge into the world of sustainability, something I am excited to be involved with.
