Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK (NMUK) Joins HSSMI as a Strategic Member

HSSMI is pleased to announce that NMUK has joined the institute as a Strategic Member. As a Strategic Member NMUK will engage with HSSMI in defined work plans and projects, taking advantage of the HSSMI culture of collaborate, innovate and deploy.
NMUK is the UK’s largest car manufacturing plant that employs over 8,000 people in the UK. NMUK has a rich heritage in the UK, with 30 years of manufacturing and engineering presence, and remains committed to building and engineering cars in this country. Last year NMUK produced more than 475,000 vehicles in the UK – 80 per cent of which were exported.
Dr. Leslie Lee, Executive Director at HSSMI said: “We are very pleased to have NMUK as a strategic member of HSSMI and look forward to adding our reach and experience to the combined efforts of NMUK to advance the efficiency of UK manufacturing.”
Kevin O’Neil, Engineering Director at NMUK said: “The manufacturing activities and visions at HSSMI are exceptionally well aligned to the strategies of NMUK, and we look forward to collaborating with HSSMI, and its members, to remain as competitive as possible.”
